This is 100% Chenin Blanc from the Paardeberg property called Nuwedam in Swartland, South Africa.  Golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose is very interesting with orange peel, quince, slight apple, wax, and a hint of white flowers.  Medium to full bodied.  Crisp acidity.  On the palate, this has plenty of depth.  Flavors of quince, orange, and some minerality. Long finish.  This is delicious but took some time to open.  At age 7 it still seems young.  If drinking soon, give it some air or better, get a bottle to age.  This is not inexpensive though really a worthy take on top quality Chenin.  It should last another twenty years.  It is great on its own, this would be great with Pad Thai.
