Just a bit behind the 2016 version but very similar. Purple/ruby in color. The nose has black cherries, rosemary and slight spice. Medium bodied. On the palate, there has a soft texture. Light tannins. Black cherry fruit. This is drinking well and should continue for another five to seven years. A nice wine on its own and would work well with most roasted chicken or duck.
This was $20 locally but can be found for less in other parts of the world. It took about 20 to 30 minutes to open up. Deep ruby in color, lighter at the rim. The nose has black cherries, bell pepper and very smoky. On the palate, this is medium bodied. Light tannins. Cherries turning slightly bitter on the finish. A slight streak of Rosemary. I don't drink a lot from Chile, but I am told that 2016 was a difficult vintage. After the initial 20 minutes, this didn't change much. It is a decent value for near term drinking. We drank two bottles of this, blind and side by side, with consistent results. One purchased in Washington D.C and one purchased in Cleveland, Ohio. There wasn't a lot of bottle variation. This wine is a great value in an easy drinking red. Deep ruby in color, mostly clear and bright. The nose has black cherries, smoke, maybe a hint of rosemary. Drinking nicely with no tannins. A good wine for a large party or BBQ. Drink over the next couple of years. This will work well with a burger and drinks fine on its own.
This is an inexpensive Cabernet from Chile made by the same family who makes such great wines in Bordeaux, France. This is a wine that is meant for people who like wine and don't want to spend a ton of money with a goal of finding something drinkable. This meets that goal. Ruby/purple in color. The nose has some dusty black raspberries. On the palate, this has black raspberry fruit. It is a bit sweet. Clean, short finish. It presents a fine alternative on restaurant lists with high markups as well. It is not meant to age. It would be good with a burger or other grilled foods.

This is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah and 5% Carménère, from the far west of the Colchagua Valley in the Peralillo DO. Gran Reserva in Chile means at least 12.5% abv and that the wine sees some oak. Garnet in color, mostly clear and bright. The nose has cassis with an earthy forest floor notes. Medium to full bodied. Light tannins. On the palate, it starts off slightly sweet before settling in to a pretty cassis, root beer and anise midpalate. A bit of menthol on the long finish.
