This is a very nice value. It retails for $15. Medium gold in color. The nose has white flowers, slight lime and slight fresh asparagus. On the palate, there is good acidity. It has a len texture but not wimpy. Nice lime and a lot of minerality. Good finish. Dry. Very food friendly. A perfect white for a summer night.
Another winner from Knoll in the excellent 2021 vintage. Silvery gold in color, clear and bright. The nose has asparagus, and white pepper. Light tannins. On the palate, this has concentrated lime notes. A bit of asparagus on the finish. Long. Deep. Well balanced. This would go well with lighter foods or even a not too spicy Chinese pork dish. Drink over the next seven to ten years.
Tasted at the winery as part of a vertical of 18, 19 & 20. Much bigger, riper and more depth than the 2020 (at least at this stage). Hay/Gold in color, clear and bright. Wow, what a gorgeous nose. Classic. Floral (white flowers?), slight asparagus, and white pepper and a hint of spice. Medium bodied. Slightly oily texture. On the palate, lemon zest and lemon candy. Good acidity. Light silvery gold in color, clear and bright. The nose is great with slight limes, asparagus and a slight white pepper. Medium bodied. On the palate, lemon/lime notes. Good acidity. Some minerality. Deep. Long finish. This is light on its feet but serious enough to stand up to moderately heavy foods. It would be nice with fish tacos. Drink over the next seven to ten years.
Medium gold in color. The nose has vanilla, lemon/lime and slight floral notes. Really pretty. On the palate, this has a lovely smooth texture. The vanilla comes thru along with the lemon/lime and undertones of minerality. Deep complexity. Slightly oily texture which is nice. Turns tart green apple on the finish. This seems like it has the stuffing to age well for the next ten to fifteen years. Delicious now though. Would work with a very wide variety of foods, even heavier meat dishes.
This is a Biodynamic (Demeter) wine imported by Terry Theise. Yellow green in color. The nose has white flowers, minerals and slight asparagus note. On the palate, this is soft. Nice minerals and limes. It seems ever so slightly sweet but then turns tart. Nice finish. Easy drinking and food friendly. $30
