Light silvery gold in color. The nose has slight lychee nuts and a bit of grapefruit. On the palate, this is slightly sweet but has a sugary quality to it. A bit of grapefruit as well. Long finish that turns dry. Would work well with the right foods, especially spicy foods. Nice value at $18.
This wine is quite sweet. How good the wine is depends on if you are ready for it and if you like sweet wines. Light silvery gold in color. There are a slight amount of bubbles in the glass on opening but they are resolved quickly. Great nose of Lychees with minerals and apricots. Full bodied. Oily texture. This is quite deep and tightly layered. It unwinds in the glass in layers of apricots, minerals and sweet syrup. This would be quite at home with an array of blue cheeses for dessert. Golden in color. The nose is a bit musty with slight sugary notes. With air it cleans a bit and shows lychees. A different bottle opened a couple of days before also showed this mustiness and the thought of TCA was there. Leaving it for two days, the wine cleaned up nicely, so that might be an issue with this bottling. On the palate, a wonderful oily texture. Some orange peel. Turns slightly bitter on the finish. Overall, this is a complex wine. Quite food friendly. It is a bit sweet but just a bit.
Light golden in color with some green hues swirling about. A very nice nose with lychee nuts, slight peaches and almonds. On the palate, this has a slight bitterness that is often found in Gewurztraminer. It is medium sweet which is also what the indice on the back label indicates. The palate has slight peach with nice minerality. Slightly viscous. Consumed over two days, it was better on day 2 with the bitterness receding and the wine coming together. Produced at the Co-Op of Cave Vinicole de Kietzenheim-Kaysersberg in Alsace. Light golden in color. The nose is nice with slight lychee nut but also some tropical fruits. On the palate, this is off dry (slightly sweet). It has nice tropical fruit with a slightly viscous texture. A slight minerality as well. Good finish. This retails for around $22. Food friendly.
