This wine was made as an homage to Lucien Peyraud, the legendary winemaker for Domaine Tempier who helped establish the Bandol AOC. in France.  It is a blend of old-vine Mourvedre and Grenache.  Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose has plums, black raspberries, smoke and spice.  Full bodied.  Tight, it takes some time to open in the glass.  On the palate, plums and black raspberries with firm tannins and underlying char.  Good acidity.  Long finish.  This needs another five to eight years to get close to maturity and should drink well for fifteen to twenty after that.  It drinks better with food.  Braised meats is a nice choice.  Lots of upside potential on this.
