Light golden in color. Wonderful nose of minerals, simple syrup, honey and slight pineapple. On the palate, pears and minerals. This is sweet but not what I might have expected. Just about what I wanted though. Great acidity. Long finish. Its light on its feet yet intense. Lovely wine that has some upside.
Yellow/green/gold in color, clear and bright. The nose has slight diesel with lemons and wet rocks. Medium bodied. On the palate, this is slightly sweet (much less than expected). Slightly viscous. Lemons with nice minerality. Long finish. Great on its own it will work well with lighter salads or with savory desserts. drink over the next ten to twelve years.
Golden in color, clear and bright. The nose is nice with pineapple, minerals, peach and vanilla. Medium bodied. Round, no hard edges. Good acidity. On the palate, peaches, vanilla and minerality. This is sweet but enough acidity to balance. Long finish. This is still young but drinking well. It should drink well for another fifteen to twenty years. Nice on its own, this will work with food that can work with the sweetness. It would be lovely with Thai food.
Drunk over two consecutive nights, this was a bit better on night 2. Deep golden in color, clear and bright. The nose has pineapple, slight honey, wet rocks and just a bare whiff of petrol. On the palate, this is sweet. Pineapple and some tropical fruits. Nice underlying minerality. Viscous texture. Lingering finish. A very nice wine. This should easily go another decade and probably two. It will work great early or late in a meal and also pair well with fruit salads.
The last time I tried this (2018) this was shut down. It was nice to revisit this as it wakes up. It still could use more cellar time. Patience will be rewarded. Light golden in color, clear and bright. The nose has some sulfur but much less than Prum wines of twenty years ago. Aromas of sulfur, smoke, minerals, slight pineapple and lemon. Medium bodied. Slightly viscous texture. Great lively acidity. On the palate, minerals, lemons and slight pineapple. This is sweet but the acidity keeps it from being heavy. Long finish. This needs a few more years in the cellar at this point
From a 375ml, this is a desert wine. Beerenauslese means the grapes are late harvest grapes affected by noble rot and picked individually off the vines. Golden in color, clear and bright. The nose is pretty with honey and apricots along with a slight wet stone note. Full bodied. Good acidity. On the palate, this is sweet, not cloying. Some depth. A nice way to finish an evening. Still very young, this wine should go another twenty years. Nice on its own, this would be nice with soft cheeses.
