A nice treat at the end of a great meal. Light golden in color. The nose has peach, slight wet rocks, and a bit of tropical fruits. Full bodied and viscous but good acidity to counter that. On the palate, this is deep. Nice peach notes. Sweet but not overtly cloying. Long finish. A little goes a long way. Tasty. This should drink well for the next fifteen to twenty years. It drinks nice on its own and will work with not too sweet cake desserts.
Nice to check in on this wine after a few years. It is open and drinking beautifully. Richters wines are always good to great, but they are always some of the best values in Germany. This one is no exception. Light golden in color. The nose has slight peach with lots of minerals/wet rocks. With air a bit of floral not comes out. On the palate, this is sweet but not overtly. The wines are Richter are some of the best values in wine. These are world class Riesling for an affordable price. Golden in color, clear and bright. The nose has minerals, peaches, and slight lemon. Medium bodied. Slightly viscous. On the palate, this is sweet. Not cloying but not semi-sweet either. Load of minerality, peach and slight salinity. Great balance. Long finish. Delicious. This drinks great on its own and will work well with lighter or spicy foods. A nice choice with Thai food. Drink over the next twelve to fifteen years.
Wow. This bottle is probably still on the retail shelves for under $25. It is amazing. Everyone at the table was oohing and ahhing over it. And it has decades of life left if you can keep your hands off. Light golden in color. The nose is awesome. Pineapple, minerals, slight peach and what I thought was thyme (?). On the palate, this is slightly sweet. Amazing energy. Wonderful texture; slightly oily slightly sinewy with juicy acidity. Long finish. Nice to revisit this (it had been almost seven years). This was a great value back in the day ($20). It really hasn't ddeveloped as much as hoped, but still a very good wine. Light gold/green in color. The nose has green apples, and minerals. On the palate, this is dry. Some depth. The palate is more peach with some minerality. Shorter finish. No hurry but won't get better. A nice wine with lighter foods or maybe some Szechuan.
