What a great value. This wine is in a wonderful place right now. Still youthful with some upside but delicious. Purple in color. The nose has black raspberries, black olives, slight bacon fact and slight violets. On the palate, there is a lot of fruit here. Black raspberries. Also plenty of depth. It unwinds in the glass with layers of fruit and earth. Delicious. It got better and better with air. Worked grteat with food. A Fass Selection wine.

Great balance. Black raspberries, slight char and a bit or earthiness. Good acidity. Long finish. This has a bit more fruit than a "typical" St. Joseph but still shows a nice sense of place. While this will improve a bit with cellaring, it drinks well now, especially with a bit of air. Purple in color, ruby swirls. The nose is nice with black raspberries, roasted herbs and slight black pepper. Medium bodied. On the palate, the fruit is a bit lighter but still in the black raspberry vein. An underlying minerality with some char. Good acidity. Nice finish.
Great showing for this. Tasted over two nights with little change. Of course, 2015 is young and a great vintage in the northern Rhone. Purple in color. The nose is pretty classic if a bit riper than typical. Black raspberry fruit with spice along side some bacon fat, slight grilled meats and black pepper. On the palate, this has a lovely rich texture. Good acidity to balance that out. Black raspberry fruit with an underlying crushed rock and slight roasted herbs. This is Syrah from the Northern Rhone Valley in France. Purple in color, mostly opaque and bright. The nose has black raspberries, black pepper, slight bacon fat and spices. Medium to full bodied. Light tannins. On the palate, this seems to be close to peak. Some depth and complexity. Juicy black raspberries with some pepper and spice. Good acidity. Nice finish. This should drink well for another seven to ten years. It will work better with food although it is nice on its own. A nice match for a chunky beef tew with roasted veggies.
