2010 Domaine de la Pépière Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Clisson, France, Loire Valley, Wine Review

So, how long can an inexpensive white wine age?  Well, this one, at age 16, is a bit past peak but still drinking great.  It was bought on release for $24.  Yellow/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose has minerals, limes, and slight crushed shells.  Slightly oily texture.  Medium bodied.  On the palate, steely minerality with a tart green apple finish.  This drinks well on its own but better with food.  It should go a few more years but drink sooner than later.  A nice paring would be Grilled Salmon on a Plank.
