Purple in color. The nose is clean with dusty cherries and garrique. On the palate, this has silky tannins. Layered complexity of cherries, spice and earth. With air some dark cherry fruit. Nice finish. This is at peak now and should be drunk in the next five to seven years. Outstanding right now.
This is a blend of 85% Grenache and then 5% each of Syrah, Mourvèdre and Vaccarese. At age 16 it is just about at peak and drinking beautifully. Garnet in color, clear and bright. The nose has cherries, raspberries, licorice, slight roasted herbs and spice. Medium to full bodied. This is the elegant side of Chateauneuf. This is a blend of 90% Grenache and 10% a field blend. It is quite tight and shut down at the moment so if drinking soon, give it about six hours of air or more. Deep ruby in color, mostly clear and bright. The nose has cherries and garrigue. With air a bit of lavender comes out. On the palate, this has a lovely silky texture. The fruit is quite tight but there are black cherries and black raspberries with a bit of black licorice and anise. This performed above expectations. It is in a really great place right now. Purple in color with a thin ruby lip. The nose is classic with black cherries, cherries, black olives, garrique and slight dried flowers. This is a bit bigger than most vintages but still has that Charvin sinewy texture and energy. Wow. A spectacular wine. This is of course very young but it is so delicious and enjoyable. It won't hit peak for a decade at least. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is peppery with black cherries, spice, soy, garrique and floral notes. On the palate, this is viscous with a wonderful texture. Lots of black cherry and black raspberry fruit.
