This is from the extraordinarily hot vintage of 2003.  Yet, for the most part, Bordeaux wines from that vintage have held up better than expected and many are drinking quite well at this point.  This is purple in color with some ruby swirls, mostly opaque and bright.  The nose has some funk on it along with black cherries, cedar, leather and spice.  Medium bodied.  Still showing firm tannins.  Flavors of black cherries and black raspberries.   The wine is fully mature and shows some complexity and depth.  Good finish.  Drink up  over the next few years.  Good on its own but better with food.  Roasted acorn squash would be a good pairing.
