This is 100% Touriga Nacional and only made in the best vintages.  Deep garnet in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with black raspberries, spice and walnuts.  Full bodied.  On the palate, lots of black raspberry fruit with underlying spice.  Thick tannins.  Long finish.  Great acidity.  Still young, this could use a few more years of cellaring.  Drink over the next ten to twelve.  Great on itss own, this will work well with lamp chops.

Very nice vintage for this perennial favorite.  Purple in color with some Ruby swirls.  Mostly opaque and bright.  The nose is nice with black cherries, cassis, spice and slight chocolate.  Full bodied.  On the palate, there is plenty of depth.  Lots of cassis and some black cherry fruit.  Good finish.  This is a delicious wine.  Light tannins.  It drinks great on its own and will work well with food.  Raosted turkey would be a nice match.  Drink over the next ten years.

This clocks in at 12,5% abv.  It is marketed as a dessert wine but is more like semi-sweet at 3.5% Residual Sugar.  Silvery gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose has some minerality and slight citrus.  Light bodied.  On the palate, this is slightly sweet.  Some underlying minerality.  Moderate finish.  It drinks ok on its own but will work nice as an aperitif.  Drink over the next few years.

This is a reasonably priced New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.  Light silvery gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose has a steely minerality with some grapefruit.  Light bodied.  On the palate, this is a bit restrained on the fruit.  Refreshing minerality.  Nice finish.  This drinks ok on its own and will work well with lighter foods.  A fruit salad would be a nice match.  Drink over the next year,

This wine was bought on release and is exactly where it should be at age 21.  Deep ruby in color with just a bit of browning at the edges.  Clear and bright.  The wine initially has some bottle funk but that blows of to reveal a classic CdP nose.  Cherries, spice, slight barnyard, a bit of dried cherries and roasted herbs.  Medium to full bodied.  Great energy and balance.  on the palate, this is complex and layered.  Cherries, fresh and dried, earthiness and char.  Nice balance.  Good finish.  This is fully mature and probably needs to be drunk soon as it starts to fade.  Still, another fi

This is a solid Pinot and very reasonably priced.  Unfortunately, there does seem to be some smokiness to it. Is this related to the fires that ravaged California in 2020? Unknown.  It is a light ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose has smoke and some nice strawberries with a touch of cranberries.  light bodied.  The palate seems cleaner wit cherries and strawberries.  Moderate finish.  This drinks well on its own and would work well with salmon.  Drink over the next couple of years.

Grade:

Current Price:

This is a Pinot Noir based Rose from the Loire Valley in France.  Very refreshing at 13% abv.  Light salmon/pink/orange in color, clear and bright.  Medium bodied.  Lightly viscous.  On the palate, a bit of a sweet tart note along with some tart orange notes especially on the finish.  This wine will work better with some food to tame the acidity. A summertime watermelon and feta cheese salad would be perfect.  Drink over the next year or two.
