This is made from the Blaufrankish grape in Austria. Screw capped. Purple in color with some ruby hues, opaque and bright. The nose has cherries and slight plums with a hint of wild thyme. Medium bodied. Good acidity. Light tannins. On the palate, black cherries and plums with a slight earthiness. Good finish. This drinks well on its own but is at its best with food. Fried foods should work well. Fried chicken would be a good match. Drink over the next seven to ten years.
