A different sort of Rose. It is a blend of mostly two white grapes, Obaideh and Merwah along with a touch of Cinsault. The bottle was open for a few hours before serving but in retrospect, a decant would have helped as it took some time to open in the glass. A deeper orange/coral in color, clear and bright. The nose has strawberries, a touch of honey, slight apricot and a bit of oxidation. Medium bodied. Creamy texture. It comes across as being a bit lower in acidity at first but that changes on the finish. Flavors of strawberries, slight apples and oranges and a but of peach. Long finish. I am told these age well for decades. It should be very food friendly. A Mushroom Pasta would be a good choice. This is a much more serious wine than most Rose's.
