2019 Weingut Knoll Durnsteiner Riesling Smaragd Ried Schütt, Austria, Wachau,

This is a trocken (dry) Riesling from Lower Austria.  Purchased off the list at Palmen Haus Brasserie in Vienna.  Golden in color with green hues, clear and bright.  The nose is outstanding.  Peaches, slight lemon citrus, a hint of honey and wet rocks.  Medium bodied.  Crisp.  On the palate, it feels like it will be sweet, but it is dry.  Peach, apricots with underlying minerality and wet stones.  Long finish.  Very refreshing on a hot day but quite food friendly.  It went very well with a vegan Jackfruit Chili Con Carne Taco if not the traditional food pairing.  Drink over the next twenty to thirty years.
