The grape is Juhfark from the Somlo area of Hungary that were fermented and aged in 1000 liter Hungarian Oak barrels and finished in stainless steel.  Deep golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose has apricots with sea air and char.  One taster mentioned black pepper which of course I noticed after he said it.  Medium bodied.  Dry. On the palate, this has a nice tart acidity.  Flavors of peach with slight tropical notes.  A bit short on the finish.  This is nice on its own but it really needs food.  It worked well with some fresher, younger cheeses.  Given that it is already seven years old, it probably should be consumed in the next next three to six years.
