2016 Nikolaihof Riesling Steiner Hund, Austria, Wachau, Wine Review

This bottle was purchased last summer at the winery.  Great showing for this wine.  Dry.  12.5% abv.  Light golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose is interesting with peaches, crushed stones and slight herbal notes.  With air, just a hint of petrol emerges.  Medium to full bodied.  Slightly viscous.  Complex and deep on the palate.  Peaches and crushed rocks.  Long finish.  Not a typical showing but delicious.  The wine wis Demeter certified Biodynamic.  Drinking well, this will easily go another fifteen to twenty years.  Very food versatile, this wend great with Vegetable stuffed Tofu.
