A really nice value in French Chardonnay. Gold/green in color, clear and bright. The nose has red apples, good minerality and a touch of spice. Medium bodied. Good acidity. On the palate, no hard edges. Very smooth with apples and minerals. Long finish. Nice on its own, but better with food. Pepper crusted Tuna steaks would be nice. Drink over the next seven to ten years.
Very pale yellow gold in color, clear and bright. The nose is very nice. Some lemon drop candy with a bit of an herbal note (Chervil?). Slightly viscous texture. A nice backbone of acidity. On the palate, lemon, and lemon candy notes with a bit of Granny Smith apple notes. Long finish. This is nice on its own but better with food. It went well with an Israeli styled salad, but would be better something a bit richer so that the acidity could really stand out. Perhaps grilled Salmon with a rich sauce. Silvery gold in color. This has a really great nose. Clean with just a touch of oak showing. Salinity and ref apples. With air, some citrus emerges. On the palate, the apples come thru. There is underlying minerality. While the wine has a rich fat texture, it has enough acidity to work with. Good finish but there is a touch of oak/harshness. The wine seems to be drinking quite well right now, but may (or not) get a bit better. Still, it seems prudent to drink these younger. It will match well with sea food and lighter fare.
This was interesting. In a room with 7 blind tasters with plenty of experience, no one even guessed Chardonnay much less Burgundy. Personally, I was stumped. It was good, but I had no idea what it might be. Green/gold in color, clear and bright. The nose has a nice minerality with a touch of quince. A very nice mouthfeel, slightly oily. On the palate, mostly minerals. Good finish. It drinks well on its own and would be better with some seafood or hearty vegetarian dishes. Drink over the next five years or so.
This is a very nice Chardonnay at a reasonable price. It even says Chardonnay on the label. Light golden in color. The nose is nice. Slightly chalky with flint and slight smoke. Also some lemon. On the palate, this has a nice acidity. Lots of minerality with a bit of lemon fruit. Clean. Nice finish. Worked well with an assortment of cheeses but will work with lighter and medium bodied foods. It should last another five years but won't get much better if at all. Depending on the price where you live, this is a very nice value.
