The Vibe:
Peppering the vast property at Trefethen Family Vineyards are beautiful gardens with antique furniture and machinery. Unfortunately, pickicking is not allowed, which makes the space feel somewhat like an outdoor museum.
The tasting room is located on the ground floor of a 19th century winery building, constructed in 1886 by a Scottish sea captain and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1988. It is currently the only 19th-century, wooden, gravity-flow winery surviving in Napa County.
If you're looking for an educational experience in an elegant, history-rich environment, Trefethen Family Vineyards is the spot for you.
