The Vibe:
Nicholson Ranch is on the elegant side. It rests on top of a hill close to the border of Napa and Sonoma with vineyards surrounding it for seemingly as far as the eye can see. Nicholson has a Southwestern look and feel to it.
Known For:
Pinot Noir, Chardonnay
Not good for:
- While Nicholson is certainly beautiful and well kept, it isn't a a place that will "wow" you with with its impressive architecture or amazing gardens. It's very good mind you, it's just that there are many wineries in Sonoma that are -visually speaking- much more impressive.
Particularly good if you are seeking:
- Great Pinot Noir
- A place for indoor/outdoor receptions or event hosting.
- Outdoor picnic areas. Nicholson's picnic tables sit beside a calm, picturesque pond at the base of a hillside.
- A winery tour.
- More than just wine. Nicholson has an art room open to the public.
