The Vibe:

Kastania is a small, family run winery just off Highway 101 in Petaluma. Specializing in Pinot Noir, Kastania is ideal for people seeking a personalized and unique tasting experience as an alternative to the massive, million dollar, and sometimes impersonal tasting rooms scattered throughout Sonoma and Napa.

Kastania is open for public tastings on weekends only and by appointment. The family lives nearby though so a last minute appointment is not out of the question.

Tours of the facility can be scheduled by appointment.

Known For:
Pinot Noir
Not good for:
  • People looking to winery hop. Kastania is not particularly close to any other public tasting rooms. However, it IS very close to HWY 101 and could be a good first or last stop for wine country day trippers coming from, or heading to, San Francisco. Watch closely for the Kastania Road exit as it is not a major highway exit.
  • Large groups or busses without an appointment.
Particularly good if you are seeking:
  • Good Pinot Noir.
  • A place for a small group event or picnic.
  • A small, family owned/run winery with a personal touch.
