The Vibe:

Folio is a new entry in the Napa Valley file drawer, and they have a rather unique vision. Founded by a group of partners that includes Michael Mondavi (the son of Robert Mondavi), the company wears many hats. There’s an onsite production facility, at which several of Folio’s family of wines are made, and an accompanying Taste Gallery, where you can try a half dozen or so wines, including brands like I’M, Oberon, Hangtime and Spellbound. There’s a fireplace to enjoy as you browse the books and other merchandise on the large wood tables that dot the center of the room, and the building also boasts a wraparound porch, complete with killer view and comfy seating. Finally, Folio also acts as an importer, bringing up and coming wines from Spain, Austria and New Zealand into American stores and restaurants. And while those wines tend not to be available in the tasting room, you can look for them at your local retailer or restaurant.
