The Vibe:

Dutch Henry produces a total of 6,000 cases annual, and is known for its Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, but the winery produces several varietals including Zinfandel, Syrah, Argos (a Bordeaux blend), Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Rose, and Chardonnay, as well as an extra virgin olive oil.  The olive oil and the Syrah are both California Certified Organically Grown.  The winery is open from 10am-5pm daily, and tours and tastings (held in the barrel room) are by appointment.

Dogs (leashed) are welcomed on the property, where the owners three airedale terriers are in residence.  The overall atmosphere is casual, an unpretentious setting without a lot of glitz or glamour.

About two miles to the south and east along North Crystal Springs Road, is the 22-acre Chafen Vineyards, where the Cabernet Sauvignon is grown.  The vineyards are nestled along the southwestern-facing slopes of the Vaca mountain range and overlook the entire eastside of the valley.

The winery hosts occasional special music events onsite, including "Blues in the Vineyards" and the acoustic concert series "Cave In."
