The Vibe:

Clos du Val has a history. It begins with a young, twenty-something French winemaker who scoured the earth looking for the perfect pinot soil, and landed in the Stags Leap district of Napa. That quest was in 1970. By 1974, the Clos du Val winery was producing old world style cab and pinot for an adoring public. Today, you can visit the vine-covered stone winery and watch a decanter demonstration in the tasting room. Don’t forget the brie and baguette for a simple picnic on their shady lawn.
