Paraduxx was started in 1994 with the sole purpose of offerings blended wines to the public. Whereas many wineries espouse 100% varietal, the blend is, and always has been, the ability to craft a wine that is greater than the sum of its parts. Though this is 60% Cabernet, there are six other grapes playing a part, including Zinfandel, Grenache and Malbec. This is a soft wine that offers noticeable fruit: black cherry, huckleberry, blueberry and blackberry along with light vanilla, green tea and baked apricot. The tannins help to solidify the structure, being potent but not aggressive.

Pop and pour, this took a few minutes to open, then just kept getting better.  Purple in color, ruby at the rim, opaque and bright.  The nose is great; earthy with black cherries, some black raspberries, smoke and black olives.  Medium bodied.  Medium tannins.  On the palate, this is tight but unwinds in the glass.  Layers of black raspberries, black pepper, black olives and char.  Good acidity.  Long finish.  This is not a big wine, but has all the stuffing.  It still will improve a bit more.  Drink over the next twelve to fifteen years.  A nice match for a lamb or beef stew.

Opened this on night one.  It was drinking ok, but tight.  Recorked, on the counter and reopened the following evening.  Much better.  This is 97 to 100% Syrah with the balance, Viognier.  While perhaps a "weaker" vintage and more accessible than most, this is a killer wine.  Inky purple in color, opaque and shimmering bright.  The nose has black raspberries, maybe some boysenberries (its a fine line), along with black pepper, black olives and slight floral notes.  In the glass, an earthy note comes out.  Great texture.  Luxurious but energetic at the same time.  On the palate, black raspbe

Light golden in color with some green hues.  The nose is nice with slight tropical fruits, granny smith apples, and hay.  Full bodied.  On the palate, this has a nice crispness.  Lemons, green apples and slight grassy note.  Slightly oily texture.  Nice finish.  Overall, this is a nice California chardonnay that drinks well on its own and would be nice with chicken salad or other lighter meals.  Drink over the next five years.

This is drinking well and seems fully mature.  Garnet in color, mostly clear and bright.  The nose is lovely with cherries, slight dark cherries, spice and hints of forest floor.  Medium bodied.  On the palate, layers of fruit and earth.  Complex.  Cherries and dried cherries with a hint of forest floor.  Long finish.  This is nice on its own, but better with food.  It worked well with Thai vegetarian food.  Drink over the next five years before it starts sliding downward.

This is a big Pinot for those who love this style.  14.6% abv according to the label.  Purple/garnet in color, mostly clear and bright.  The nose has black cherries, cherries, slight root beer and spice.  Full bodied.  Light tannins.  On the palate, load of fruit but balanced by juicy acidity.  Plenty of depth.  Black cherries, cherries and spice.  Long finish.  Delicious.  This drinks great on its own and will work with bolder flavors in foods such as Roasted Fowl.  Drink over the next ten to twelve years.

Purple in color, ruby at the rim, mostly opaque and bright.  The nose has black cherries, bel peppers, spice and some pepper.  Medium bodied.  Light tannins.  On the palate, this has some black cherry fruit with green bell peppers.  One dimensional.  Clipped finish.  This would be a fine wine with meatloaf or a burger.  Drink over the next few years.

This was purchased in the summer of 2022 in Budapest.  It was opened at a local Hungarian restaurant.  Very nice showing.  Golden in color with a tinge of red, clear and bright.  The nose is great with honey, apricots, Crème brûlée, and a slight floral note.  Full bodied.  Viscous.  Good acidity.  On the palate, this is deep and complex.  Nots of apricots, honey, slight brown sugar and spice.  Long finish.  Delicious.  This was great on its own and works well with Hungarian Tortes.  Drink over the next twenty years.

Excellent showing for this bottle at age 21.  Golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with orange peel, sea air, slight apple cider, peach and minerality.  Full bodied.  Good acidity.  On the palate, this is complex but also delicious.  Deep with apples, peach and minerality.  Plenty of depth.  Long finish.  Great on its own, this went quite well with vegetarian spicy Indian Food.  Drink over the next ten years.

This is a relatively inexpensive and very good Sauvignon Blanc from Austria.  Green/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is nice with peach and slight wild herbal notes.  Light to medium bodied.  Nice, mildly viscous texture.  On the palate, this has lively acidity and good balance.  The peach comes thru.  Moderate finish.  This drinks well on its own and works well with food.  This was a nice complement to spicy Indian foods.  Drink over the next three to five years.  Screw capped.
