Screw capped. Ruby in color, but a bit flat. There is a fair amount of volatile acidity on the nose. Also some sour cherries. Nice texture with light tannins. On the palate, tart cherries. A lot of acidity. Long finish. This probably would benefit from a bit of a decant as the VA did slightly blow off. There is a nice complexity here. It should have another seven to ten years left or maybe more. It will pair well with roasted fowl.
From an Oregon winery, Peter Rosback can't sit still, so he makes wine in New Zealand during the Oregon winters. Deep ruby in color. The nose has cherries and sandalwood. On the palate, this is fruit forward with cherries and some cherry pie qualities. It drinks very easily on its own. It would work with roasted fowl. This won't get better and should be consumed in the next five years or so. Screw capped!
From an Oregon winery/winemaker, Peter Rosback, who can't sit still, he make New Zealand Pinot Noir in the wintertime here. Garnet in color, mostly clear and bright. The nose is bright with cherries and some black cherries with spice and char. Medium to full bodied. Light tannins. Good acidity. On the palate, this is tasty. Showing some development, but probably not at peak. Lovely semi-plush texture. Cherries, black cherries, slight herbal note and char. Long finish. drink over the next ten years. Good on its own, this will work well with roasted chicken.
Screw capped. Ruby in color, clear and bright. In Pinot Noir, color often means little but this does have a very pretty lighter color. The nose has cherries, slight smoke, rhubarb and slight celery notes. It has a very soft, feminine texture. On the palate, tart cherries with a slight bitter/herbal note on the finish. 12.5% alcohol on the label. If you are looking for a bit, fruity wine, this is not that.
