viticurious Thinks:

A fair restaurant corkage fee is:

$0.00

A tell-tale sign of a wine snob is:

Boasting about the price paid for a bottle, assuming it's over &25 or so.

The wine region I most want to visit:

Ribera del Duero, Spain.

My "wish list" of wines I want to acquire soon:

N/A - yet.

My biggest wine pet peeve:

Wine priced over $10 that is just not good - even to novices.

The best wines I have ever tasted:

I tend to stick to Spanish reds and my taste buds are going through some growing pains at the moment, so I'll leave my answer for some time in the near future.

The people with whom I most often enjoy wine:

Family and (soon) some fellow viticurious folk with whom I work.

The last wine I had that I absolutely loved:

I really liked the Clisos Tempranillo 2008 (Rioja).

What I think of the movie Sideways:

It's been a while, but I liked it. I did get the idea from Paul Giamatto's (sp?) character that Pinot Noir is not an easy wine to get right. I haven't imbided in a lot of PN yet.

My thoughts on the 100 point rating scale made famous by Robert Parker and emulated by seemingly everyone:

At this point, I'm not at all familiar with the criteria the scale uses, so I have no idea how to rate it. Only time and practice will tell, I guess.

My wine travels have taken me to the following wine regions:

I haven't yet traveled for wine purposes, although that's definitely in the cards. I have been to Tacoronte, Canary Islands. I wouldn't rank their wines near the top, though. Great place to spend time, however!
