I have been in the wine industry for 10 years now. I've started my wine journey at Rubicon Restaurant in 1998 where I initially worked as a bartender and after taking and passing my Court of Master Sommelier certification I moved to the position of assistant sommelier to Larry Stone M.S. The experience at Rubicon and the patronage of Larry Stone have proved to be invaluable. After 4 years at Rubicon I worked as an consultant and a wine advisor for various projects around the Bay Area continuously advancing my wine knowledge through courses and tastings. In 2004 I left for Australia where I lived in Melbourne working as a wine consultant and staff educator for numerous restaurants. I returned to San Francisco in 2005 and took over the position of the Wine Director at Rubicon restaurant after Larry Stone moved to Napa to manage Francis Ford Coppola's Rubicon Estate. I stayed at the restaurant until its closing in 2008. Presently I work for distribution company Fourcade & Hecht as a consultant, new product scout, and a sales person. We represent a great variety of world wine with main focus on French and Italian producers. We offer one the best value to quality ratio in the business. Although we are a new contender in the area our wines can be found at some of the best restaurants and retail stores in San Francisco.
