Celine Guillou

Céline Guillou, a graduate of Columbia Law School and the University of Paris in France, transitioned out of law after several years of practice, in order to pursue her interest in wine. She currently handles all of the marketing and creative design for Yield, which she co-founded with Chris Tavelli. Céline's corporate experience complements her partners’ long-standing know-how in the food and wine industries.

Chris Tavelli, a graduate of UC Davis, has been involved in the restaurant and wine industries for many years, beginning with his family's restaurant. Prior to opening Yield Wine Bar, he was wine manager at Millennium Restaurant, San Francisco’s top vegetarian restaurant. His knowledge of "green” wine and sustainable agriculture is extensive and is put to excellent use at Yield.

Yield Wine Bar is a small, intimate wine bar located in the heart of San Francisco's historic Dog Patch Neighborhood. Yield is the first and only exclusively “green” wine bar in San Francisco (and perhaps the nation). Committed to supporting “green” winemaking and agriculture, as well as family owned and operated wineries, all of the wines featured on its rotating wine list are environmentally friendly — they are made by wineries that are wholly committed to the practice of organic or biodynamic viticulture.
