Tasting Notes:
Mondavi SOLAIRE: Not often I want to pour wine down the drain -But this one I wanted to, and so I did with the whole bottle short a 4 oz. tasting glass. Initial bottle whiffs cran-raspberry with pronounced green notes (beware) like another junky organic vin. In the glass notes big fruit blackberry. Tastes of long drawn-out pepper spice notes, non-chalk tannin, one dimensional spice with 10 second super short forgettable finish. Unimpressive wine, a give-away -somehow overworked Cabernet made to taste like anyone of 50 cheap Australian scorched-earth Shiraz's. Best Regards, Rick.
