Tasting Notes for "FRANC", Crystal Valley Cellars, M. Cosentino Cabernet Franc 2006
by gtv_john
M. Cosentino what a total fantastico effort with your whole range of varietals and blends, is pure astonishment this Cabernet FRANC singularity. Initial bottle whiffs plum crazy black cherry. Rich full fruit tastes, ala fruit-bomb, but restrained no jamminess or pectin chewiness, blackberry black plum Flambeau, just delicioso, move across pallet solid med wt, faint round pear notes, balanced slight crisp acid edginess, simply exuberant huge lush black persimmon; all the enjoyable essence e finish of a great wine!
I would serve this wine for:
Everybody, anytime.
I shared this wine with:
Myself celebrating my new titanium knee.
The nose on this wine reminds me of:
Plum Blk cherry.
This wine would pair well with the following foods:
N/A - don't really drink much, if any, wine with food. ..enjoy the living art of wine craft for itself.
I think this wine is priced:
Full $20 under priced, easy.
If I have any gripe with this wine, it's that:
Nada, nein.
