Gold in color with green hues. The nose has seltzer, limes and a scent that many of us trying thought cannabis. On the palate, this lacks much acidity. Lime fruits with a bit of candied lemon. Moderate finish. It is tasty and easy to drink. Drink over the next couple of years. Nice on its own, this will work well with lighter salads.
Inky purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is nice with black raspberries, char, and coffee grounds. On the palate, lots of spices along with black raspberries and cedar. Medium tannins. Nice texture. Long finish. This is drinking young but nicely. It may still improve but should drink well for another twelve to fifteen years. Nice on its own, this would work well with grilled lamb chops.
This was a very popular wine among friends. Inky purple in color. The nose has black raspberries, roasted herbs, slight roasted meats and black pepper. On the palate, juicy black raspberry fruit. Slightly jammy. A bit sweet. "Old school" Australian Shiraz but within reason. Not over blown for the style. This will need big and/or spicy food. It also works very nice as a cocktail wine. In point of fact they have been doing so for a long time, and I have reviewed many of their wines over the years. This offers very ripe blackberry and blueberry fruit, plum, noticeable oak notes, including vanilla, sandalwood, and slightly sweet charred oak.
This is my favorite Israeli wine. It is Kosher and it can hold its own among the best Bordeaux blends anywhere. It is a blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petite Verdot. Ruby in color, purple at the core. The nose has cassis, dust, black cherries and slight chocolate. Medium to full bodied. Medium tannins. On the palate, cassis, black cherries, spice and slight char. Slight heat on the finish. This is young and needs some air or cellaring to sort out. Hold for as couple and then drink for ten after that. It would pair nicely with brisket at a
