Tasting Notes for Bacio Divino Cellars PAZZO Sangiovese 2006
by gtv_john
Wine Tasted:
"Call me crazy" and I think thats about right for me also?
A fantastico blend of a majority Sangiovese, Petit Sirah, Cabernet and a smige of Viognier.
Initial whiffs of rising bread dough, faint Pomegranate with deeper inhale of Kirsch notes, all inviting reassurances.
In the glass an inky black viscous fluid has flavors of blackberry-currant edges, against a mat background of Nehi Soda, if Nehi made a loganberry soda? Soft black fruits, black cherry fruit supported by intricate mineral/acid balanced thin frame of astringency, without any harshness.
Medium weight palette feel with a short truncated finish, slight Chinese horseradish reminder, leaving a desire to chase after the sports car taste that just flashed by and have another sip? ..or indulge in a full gulp of nuanced elegance from this artfully crafted, high quality treasure?
I would serve this wine for:
Always, as it again becomes available in this market.
The nose on this wine reminds me of:
Pomegranate.
This wine would pair well with the following foods:
Too much grace to screw it up with food, but each to his/her own, ja?
I think this wine is priced:
Right.
