This comes in a very attractive package with a mushroom cork and wired cage. There is no vintage noticeable although the Lot number starts with L23. 7%abv. Silvery/green/gold in color with a thick mousse of medium sized bubbles. The nose has pineapple, some papaya and minerality. Medium bodied. On the palate, this is sweet. Refreshing. Long finish. This is a nice wine to start an evening or a lovely way to finish a meal perhaps with some shortbread or other plain cookie. Drink now.

Moscato d'Asti deserves more respect. It can be an excellent dessert wine that offers up enjoyment and yes, some level of contemplation. Slightly sparkling and sweet, and not expensive can be very good things if done well. This one offers up all of those. Pale yellow in color with just a bit of frizzante. The nose has peaches, orange blossoms, and just a hint of fresh thyme. Creamy texture. On the palate, this is sweet but nowhere near cloying. Good acidity. Nice finish. And low alcohol to boot (6%). It is made to consumed within the first year or two. It is great on its own and

Light yellow/silvery gold in color. Slight froth with smallish bubbles. No real nose, but with air a slight pine note comes out. On the palate, this is sweet and not cloying though very sweet. Nice minerality. Long, long finish. This will work as a cocktail or as a dessert wine. Salty foods would probably be best.

This is one of those wines that remind me that wine doesn't always need to be serious. This is a fun wine that is quite tasty. It is "frizzante" or lightly sparkling and it is also sweet. The grapes come from the Piedmont in northern Italy and include Moscato Bianco and Brachetto. At 5.5%abv, this is easy drinking and refreshing. Pale pink in color with a nice mousse of small bubbles. This is from an Island located south west of Sicily. Although part of Italy, it is actually closer to Africa (Tunisia). It is a fascinating dessert wine. Made from Zibibbo (Muscat of Alexandria) grapes. Amber in color with some golden hues. The nose is great with canned peaches, apricots and candied oranges. Viscous. On the palate, this is sweet but not cloying. Delicious. Enough acidity to carry the fruit. Also a touch of honey. Long finish. Great on its own, this would work well with Biscotti or shortbread. Fun.

This is another fun wine from this producer. It comes in attractive packaging although the screw top actually has a tiny leak in it and left a small pool in the fridge. No worries, the wine was sound and it is only the second time I have seen such a closure fail. This is a lightly sparkling (frizzante) rose that checks in at 5.5% abv. It is a blend of Moscato and Brachetto grapes. Pale salmon in color a white froth. The nose has pink grapefruit and strawberries and slight simple syrup notes. Medium bodied. On the palate, this is semi-sweet with nice watermelon notes. Great acidity
