An interesting designation of "Low Calorie" which is part of the Sustentia lineup of low calorie, low alcohol wines. This comes in at 9% abv. Silvery/gold in color with some green hues. The nose has a nice "wet rock" quality with a slight pineapple note. Medium bodied. Crisp, tart acidity on the palate. Nice yellow grapefruit notes and long with a touch of Lemon Drop candies. Good finish. It is very nice on its own, but really needs food to go along with the acidity. This would work nicely with seafood. Drink over the next few years. It will be interesting to see how well this lineup expands. Right now it seems limited to this Chardonnay and a Pinot Blanc. It does seem like there would be a market for those looking for a bit "less" from their wine.
