This is 100% Grechetto from Umbria, Italy. Light golden in color, clear and bright. The nose is nice with slight tangerine, peach and chalk. Medium bodied. On the palate, peach and tangerine with mineral undertones. Good acidity. Slight almond note on the finish. This is a lighter wine that drinks well on its own and would be great with appetizers or lighter foods. This would be nice with a vegetable/bean soup. Drink over the next couple of years.

Interesting to taste this after recently trying the 2021 (https://www.intowine.com/reviews/2021-arnaldo-caprai-grechetto-colli-mar...). Light golden in color, clear and bright. The nose has a nice minerality but the fruit seems faded. Some chalk and earthiness. Medium bodied. On the palate, lots of minerality with a slight peach note. Good acidity. Bitter almond note on the finish.

One of the top wines coming out of Italy. This is made from 100% Sagrantino grapes in Montefalco, Italy. Just now really entering its drinking window. Deep purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is big with plums, black raspberries, clove, and slight leather. Full bodied. Firm tannins. Good acidity. On the palate, this is complex and layered. Flavors of black cherries, black raspberries, char, spice and just a hint of forest floor. Long finish. This is delightful on its own, but better with food. It went great with Eggplant Lasagna. This is a blend of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino and 15% Merlot from central Italy. Purple in color, ruby at the rim, mostly opaque and bright. The nose has black cherries, cherries, char and spice. Medium bodied. Medium tannins. Good acidity. On the palate, black cherries, cherries, milk chocolate and slight smoke. Long finish. This is a lovely Sangiovese with a firmness from the blend that gives it s bit more seriousness. It is drinking well now and should for the next seven to ten years. A very nice value. This is 100% Sagrantino from central Italy. Typically, this wine needs a minimum of 10 years ageing, but, it's nice to try one young to determine if it is worth purchasing more. Purple in color, mostly opaque and bright. The nose is nice with a "sweet" scent of black cherries, dust, cloves and slight vanilla note. Full bodied. Very tannic! On the palate, this is deep but tight. Black cherries with cloves and black pepper. A bit of anise on the finish. This is 15.5% abv., but not noticeable while drinking.
