2018 Boich Family Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon Perennius, USA, California, Napa, Wine Review

This is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the four best barrels in the cellar.  Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose is deep and interesting.  Aromas of cassis, black olives, spice and slight earthiness.  Full bodied.  Wonderful concentrated plush texture.  Firm tannins.  On the palate, cassis, ash and char.  Good acidity.  Long finish.  Still young, this is drinking quite well with a bit of air. Drink over the next twenty years.  Great on its own, this will need bigger food for now.  It went quite nicely with Grilled Portobello Mushroom Napoleon.  A few more years and this will get a perfect score.
