Erin Brooks Thinks:

A fair restaurant corkage fee is:

A tell-tale sign of a wine snob is:

Drinking only French wine. Or smelling the cork (a different type of wine snobbery).

The wine region I most want to visit:

France, Spain, Italy, Germany!

My "wish list" of wines I want to acquire soon:

Wines that aren't so easy to get in New Mexico...Burgundy, older German Rieslings.

My biggest wine pet peeve:

When someone refuses to drink anything other than French wine. There is so much great wine out there!

My favorite wine quote:

"Wine is bottled poetry." -Robert Louis Stevenson
"Wine touches everything, ecology, archaeology, history. It's the great connector. It connects people." -Tim Gaiser, MS
"Wine is sunlight, held together by water." -Galileo

My dream wine to one day taste or own:

Probably most of the wines from Decanter's "Wine Legends" back page!

The best wines I have ever tasted:

Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 1990
Sine qua non "I started to make a label..." 2007
Olivier Leflaive Chablis Vaudesir Grand Cru 2005

The people with whom I most often enjoy wine:

Other sommeliers whom I study and blind taste with each week.

The last wine I had that I absolutely loved:

I tasted a 1990 Château Lynch Bages recently that I really enjoyed. I love how French wine evolves in the glass!

What I think of the movie Sideways:

I like how rumpled the main character is, poor thing.

My thoughts on the 100 point rating scale made famous by Robert Parker and emulated by seemingly everyone:

Helpful and dangerous.

My wine travels have taken me to the following wine regions:

I've only been to Japan, and tasted lots of sake...
