This is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot from Tuscany.  Purple in color with some garnet swirls, mostly opaque and bright.  Great nose with cassis, black cherries, graphite and clay.  Full bodied.  Medium tannins.  Good acidity.  On the palate, flavors of cassis, clay and a bit of chocolate.  Long finish.  This is drinking well now and should have another eight to twelve years left.  Nice on its own, this would be a nice match with Spaghetti Bolognaise.

Made with organic grapes.  Purple/ruby in color, mostly  opaque and bright.  The nose is nice with cassis, dust and char.  Nice texture.  Medium to full bodied.  Medium tannins.  On the palate, cassis, slight black olive with a bit of char.  Good balance.  Slight bitter cherry note on the finish.  The drinks nicely and easily on its own and will work well with foods (not seafood) off the grill.  Drink over the next five to eight years.  Another excellent value.

This is 100% Merlot from Bordeaux, France named after Pierre Ögren is the son of Camille Sereys de Rothschild and great-grandson of Baron Philippe de Rothschild.  It is well priced and a very nice value.  Ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose  is earthy with black cherries and slight cigar.  Full bodied.  Light to medium tannins. Good acidity.  On the palate, black cherry fruit.  Very east to drink with a nice finish.  This drinks well on its own but better with food.  It went very well with assorted roasted veggies and hummus.  Drink over the next five years.

This is Blaufrankish from Austria and if you have never tried that varietal, it is being used quite successfully in central Europe and especially Austria.  Garnet/Purple/Blue in color, clear and bright.  The nose is deep and very nice.  Aromas of Goji Berries, dust, white pepper and tea leaves.  Medium bodied.  Medium tannins.  On the palate, sour cherries, sour green apples, and slight pepper all in a very nice almost seamless package.  Long finish.  This is nice on its own but better with food.  It would be nice with veal.  Drink over the next eight to twelve years.
