Dream Wine:2003 Rene Rostaing Cote Rotie La Landonne. I tasted this wine recently and it was absolutely, and without question, the best wine I have ever tasted - complex structure, bouquet and finish with the most significant earthy, mineral flavor of the regional terroir throughout. Just amazing.

I was pleased with this Bordeaux, but not blown away by it. The cellaring smoothed out the tannins and created the nice velvety texture you hope to get from the right-bank, and the nose had some nice qualities of leather and oak. The fruit flavors where still present and the balance between tannins, acid and alcohol was good.
