Viansa Winery & Italian Marketplace is in many ways what visitors to California wine country expect to see in a winery. The property is sprawling and beautiful with flowers lining seemingly everything from the entrance of Highway 128 right up to the front door.

Viansa offers a gourmet Italian style deli to go with the tasting room and the common theme is for visitors to pair great wine with great food. Plenty of picnic tables exist and an expansive green lawn await those looking to spend an afternoon sipping wine under the Sonoma sun. Public tastings are offered as are tours. A huge white "tent style building" exists for those looking to host events at Viansa.

Particularly good if you are seeking

• A place to host a special event such as a wedding or corporate function.
• Place to picnic with a mid-large size group.

Not good for

• Intimacy. Viansa is quite busy.
