Youngish wine guy from Sonoma County born and raised among the vines, but only recently became interested in growing, producing and bottling the gift from the gods.

Randy Pitts Thinks:

A fair restaurant corkage fee is:

$10

A tell-tale sign of a wine snob is:

People who come into the tasting room and ask to tastemy highest scoring wine. I reply, "you just walked into the TR, why don't YOU tell me what my highest scorer is!."

The wine region I most want to visit:

Santa Barbara

My biggest wine pet peeve:

lazy number chasers. Get over yourselves and get out there and YOU be the judge.

My favorite wine quote:

After being asked if she'd like some water she replied, "honey the only thing I drink is coffee, wine and champagne". My mom.

My dream wine to one day taste or own:

balanced California Pinot Noir

The best wines I have ever tasted:

Bruce Rector 2003 Bien Nacido Pinot Noir

The people with whom I most often enjoy wine:

My friends, duh?!

The last wine I had that I absolutely loved:

2002 homemade neutral oaked Rutherford Cab Sauvignon. Made 23 cases and had to give the grower 13 of 'em. Down to my last 2 cases.

What I think of the movie Sideways:

What ever gets people drinking wine.

My thoughts on the 100 point rating scale made famous by Robert Parker and emulated by seemingly everyone:

see, "my biggest wine pet peeve".

My wine travels have taken me to the following wine regions:

Sonoma/Napa Counties, and Chile.
