Jill Remensnyder's formal introduction into the world of wine was in 2006 when she worked as a writer and producer on the food and wine pairing show, "Northwest Bounty." This opened up the door to trying new wines and leaving her wine comfort zone- ordering the same wine as everyone else because she was afraid to ask questions. Last year Jill produced a fun educational DVD for people just beginning to build their knowledge of wine titled "Get Into Wine." She currently lives in Portland, Oregon where she's spoiled with amazing Oregon Pinot Noir and continues to work in film and video.

All over the Napa Valley, NY Finger Lakes region, Oregon's Dundee Hills... but most of my travels are to the wine aisle at the local grocer's.
It is what it is. Fine, I'll say it... I don't like Sandra Oh.
I want them all. I'll need a bigger cellar.
The person who wants to discuss in-depth the characteristics and personality of the wine, how it dances across their tongue, reminding them of a funny thing that happened on the way to Napa. We all know "that guy." Don't be him.
Those jerks who wear shirts that say "wine snob." On a serious note, people who get more caught up in the wine scores than the the actual wine in the glass.
I'm game- throw a dart at a map and point me in the direction of the nearest vineyard.
Anyone who likes to indulge in spirited debate and lively conversation- whether it be friends, family, or strangers I corner in restaurants and tasting rooms.
Let me come back to this one in a few years- I'm still pretty green.
TBD...
