Garrett Imeson Thinks:

A fair restaurant corkage fee is:

$15

A tell-tale sign of a wine snob is:

Being a unadventurous and unwilling to try wines that they've never heard of or don't know the ratings for. There are diamonds in the rough out there for sure.

The wine region I most want to visit:

Probably the Stellenbosch region of South Africa. A coworker got back from there quite recently and loved it and that of course makes me want to go!

My "wish list" of wines I want to acquire soon:

That is far too difficult of a question for me to answer properly! :)

My biggest wine pet peeve:

Hmm... I am not actually sure I have a pet peeve yet.

My favorite wine quote:

In Vino Veritas

My dream wine to one day taste or own:

Probably something from the year of my birth (1988), although I do not know what for sure.

The best wines I have ever tasted:

This certainly has to go to one of the first wines I ever really loved, even if its mostly for nostalgia's sake. The 2005 Radford Dale Gravity was perhaps the first wine I'd ever had that I truly fell in love with. It was one of the more unique wines I'd had when I tasted it and I think it remains on the top of my list.

The people with whom I most often enjoy wine:

Generally, my wine consumption is enjoyed with one of two groups, that have quite a bit of overlap. The first is my family. My father is most definitely into wine so I've enjoyed quite a bit of wine with him. In fact, I am fairly confident he has supplied some of the best wine I've ever had. In addition, my co-workers at Barclay's Wine Experience often have tastings and occasionally we have dinners where we enjoy great wine.

The last wine I had that I absolutely loved:

Yalumba wines from Australia have been dynamite for me recently!

What I think of the movie Sideways:

I thought it was absolutely hilarious. It was one of my favorite movies I'd seen in quite some time. In my mind, it put Paul Giamatti on the list of some of my favorite actors and I've yet to see him in John Adams, where I've heard he is amazing.

My thoughts on the 100 point rating scale made famous by Robert Parker and emulated by seemingly everyone:

While no system is perfect, my mind works well with a system like the 100 point system. It certainly has its imperfections but it doesn't bother me too much.

My wine travels have taken me to the following wine regions:

I am not well traveled when it comes to wine regions, however, I've seen both Sonoma and Napa, both of which I enjoyed quite a bit. I certainly hope to add to the list of travels here shortly!
