Tasting Notes for Leone Rosso Toscana Syrah 2006
by gtv_john
Wine Tasted:
60% Siran, 20% Sangiovese, 10 percent Canaiolo, e 10% Ancellotta deserving proud from Barone de Renzis Sonnino, Montespertoli, Italia.
Has initial bottle whiffs of ruby grape and blackberry. In the glass notes of a de cassis and kirsch-ie, with intense raisin nose, swirls of oil dredged legs of deep opaque inky black cherry color, tastes of full-on liquor kirsch raisin fruit with medium weight mouthfeel, dusty tannin and smooth back pallette spice note ever so easy, with elegant soft landing 15 second finish..
I would serve this wine for:
Every human kind, especially friends close... fare amicizia con qualcuno?
I shared this wine with:
Taj MaHal
The nose on this wine reminds me of:
Lovely lush blend it is.
This wine would pair well with the following foods:
anchovy and marscapone bruschitta
I think this wine is priced:
Great on sale for $19.

89

2003 Rene Rostaing Cote Rotie La Landonne. I tasted this wine recently and it was absolutely, and without question, the best wine I have ever tasted - complex structure, bouquet and finish with the most significant earthy, mineral flavor of the regional terroir throughout. Just amazing.
