I am a Court of Master Sommelier (beginner level) accredited graduate & oenophile that relishes wine (reds in particular) & what it represents ... I am also into physical fitness & living a (trying my best) vegetarian lifestyle ... I started running on 6.21.2008 after a 21 year hiatus to help a friend stay fit -- I started experiencing & enjoying the 'runners high' ... I am now hooked :-) ... I currently train with weights, run, and practice Jivamukti & Anusara yoga ... was introduced to 'vegetarianism' through my practice of yoga ... as a result of incorporating yoga into my lifestyle -- I am also into 'biodynamic wines' as well, lol

A fair restaurant corkage fee is:

$10 -- $15

A tell-tale sign of a wine snob is:

someone who ridicules others with his / her wine knowledge & derides anyone not well versed in 'vin blanc' or 'vin rouge' ... these aforementioned people are not the sort of individuals I like to associate with at parties / social event(s)

The wine region I most want to visit:

Priorat

My "wish list" of wines I want to acquire soon:

Shafer 'Relentless' & Jean-Luc Colombo 'Cornas Force One'

My biggest wine pet peeve:

adding ice cubes to wine

My favorite wine quote:

"In Europe we thought of wine as something as healthy and normal as food and also a great giver of happiness and well being and delight. Drinking wine was not a snobbism nor a sign of sophistication nor a cult; it was as natural as eating and to me as necessary."
- Ernest Hemingway

My dream wine to one day taste or own:

Soldera 'Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG'

The best wines I have ever tasted:

Montes 'Purple Angel' & all of the 1st Tier Bond Estate Wines (Pluribus, St. Eden, Vecina, & Melbury)

The people with whom I most often enjoy wine:

Family & Friends

The last wine I had that I absolutely loved:

Costers del Siurana 'Clos de l'Obac'

What I think of the movie Sideways:

not terribly impressed

My thoughts on the 100 point rating scale made famous by Robert Parker and emulated by seemingly everyone:

Someone had to set up a 'standard' for rating wine ... why berate Parker for having the foresight to do so? ... drink what you enjoy & luxuriate in the moment

My wine travels have taken me to the following wine regions:

All over the world ... however, there are many more wine regions yet to be discovered :-) ... this is an on-going adventure that (hopefully) will never end
